Digital thermometer piggybacked to a Love Controller

I'm working on putting a brutus ten together and I was wondering if anyone knows of, or if it possible to splice a digital thermometer into the love controller. The love controller uses a thermistor that has two leads which attach to the back of the controller, is there a digital thermometer (for cheap) that takes its input from the same type of thermistor and if so could it be spliced into the input of a love temp controller?

I'm not sure that I understand why you'd want to do that. The love controller displays the current temperature in bright red,

I thought it only displayed the set temperature? Maybe I'm wrong?

It shows the current temp. (set temp is only shown when you're actually setting it)
