know 3/16 beer line has 1.8-2.7 resistance. Pg = L1 * R1 + H * 0.5

Height is 3ft from center keg to taps. pressure set between 12-14 pounds.

why does my line length keep coming out really short?

Not sure, but if you have 6 feet or so of line you should be fine.

+1 on 6'. Start with a minimum of 6' you can always cut it down. My first line was 6' and when I added my 2nd tap I started at 12' and never cut it down. I've noticed on a few commercial kegs that my 12' line give me nicer pours. It also works fine for my cornies as well.
