I ran out of starsan and I need to clean and fill 55 bottles before I go out of town. Is 2oz of bleach in 5gal. safe to use and do I need to rinse the bottles. I use a big tub and Iam going to use 10 gal of water and 4oz of bleach. Any suggestions thanks

1 tbsp bleach / gallon of water = no rinse, fast acting sanitizer.
Do NOT use more bleach. If you use to much its no longer no-rinse and can leave some awful off flavors. That said, all I use is bleach for sanitizing and in the right concentration its effective, cheap and as easy as anything else and lasts weeks before you need a new batch.

Exposure to sunlight disipates chlorine.
Be aware the using bleach with an added scent may also cause off flavors.

I always use bleach for bottle cleaning, just don't overdue it with the concentration.
