Update on equipment list

As luck would have it, I was discussing my new hobby with my boss and he mentioned he had a home brewing kit at his house that he didn't plan on using. He said I could have it in exchange for some free beer.

I went and picked the equipment up last night. I managed to get some pretty good stuff, but still need to purchase some extra equipment.

Here's what I scored:

5 gallon glass carboy(using for my secondary)
6 gallon plastic bucket(fermenter/bottle bucket) but the lid is missing so I'll use it for just a bottling bucket
2 cases of beer bottles
swing capper(already have one)
siphon hose 5ft
racking cane
bottler stick
overflow hose


I've placed an order to AHBS for a 7.9 gallon fermentor, hydrometer, thermometer, grain bags, auto siphon and my first kit(honey blonde ale). Hopefully, this time next week, I'll be watching the fermentor bubble.
