10 lb Maris Otter
.25 lb 2-Row Carapils® Malt

If you want an IPA you need more hops late in the boil, some dry hops are pretty much a requirement as well. Amarillo/Simcoe is a great combo, so no issue there. You are a bit heavy of the crystal for my tastes, I like my IPAs dry.

+1 to late hops. I can't imagine an IPA without at least 4 oz of hops and at least 1 oz being dry-hopped.

As far as dryness, 1.008 seems fairly dry to me! :D I guess he plans to mash low. And his crystal is still less than 7%
