I recently took a Shakespear Sout clone and added about an oz of Hazelnut extract to it at flame out. It's been in the bottle for about a week and I opened a bottle just for a sampler. Carbonation has a little way to go as expected but eveything is there for my first truley great brew!

the only thing I would like is for it to have turned out a nice deep black. Instead I got a very dark but very brown color. Any tips for getting a blacker stout? Here is the recipie below

(5 gallons, extract with grains)
Ingredients (Included):
6.5 lbs dark LME
1.0 lbs Dark DME
1.0 lb Briess 2-Row Pale Malt
0.5 lb Dingemans Special B
0.5 lb Chocolate Malt
0.25 lb Roasted Barley
0.5 lb Briess Flaked Oats
1 oz Cascade (Bittering 1st Addition)
1 oz Cascade (Bittering 2nd Addition)
1 oz Cascade (Flavoring)
1 oz Cascade (Finishing)
1 oz Hazelnut extract

Don't worry about how it looks if it tastes good.

If you must have it darker some black patent or Carafa would darken it up. Looking at your recipe I can't imagine this beer would be anything except black as night. Maybe a picture would help?

you could go the cheating way and use food coloring :)

But besides that, you can't really change this batch (if that was the question)
