Sunk a ring or bung?

OK, I'm making a new thread. How many made the noob mistake of sinking a ring or a bung?

Guilty as charged. Pushed my bung in on my 4th batch. But I switched over to those universal bungs and it hasn't happened since

I use universal bungs only and never had a problem so far.

I've pushed the rubber grommet into the primary bucket. I bought an extra one, and it hasn't happened since. I also repeat my mantra, "Airlock in the lid before the lid on the bucket" now, too. Never pushed a bung into a carboy, yet, though.

I pushed a stopper right into a carboy when I first started. It was fun fishing it out. :drunk:
