Is it possible to switch out sugar for local honey - since it has more medicinal value - in Dandelion and/or Lavender wine (or any wine for that matter)?

......well...of course it's possible.

Are you saying that sugar has more medicinal uses?

Probably not.

Sugar will have a cidery flavor, where honey has a little more pleasant flavor (IMHO).

I guess anything's possible.... but is it possible in wine. I'm saying to use honey instead of sugar. dandelion is awesome for colds and congestion, and local honey is great for allergies, etc.

I have made a few batches of mead There are many different types of mead. Each uses honey as it ferment-able sugar. I have heard mead called honey wine many times. I say try it. All the mead I have made has aged for at least a year before I drink it and it needs that long at least. It does get better with age.

Brings up interesting ideas for other medicinal additions, like sage.

Are you going to put one of these together? I'd like to know how it comes out.
