Last week was "garbage" day in our neighborhood. Toss out all the big stuff you don't want. I took home a shiny apparently functional Sanke Keg (big one) while dumping my garbage.

I've never owned one, I've only kegged one or twice with Corny's.

I'm interested in converting it to Wortmonger's Fermenter/Carbonation method. I know I need to get a tap to do this.

There's still beer in this keg (how old I don't know) and I need to get that beer out and clean this thing.
My questions are hopefully simple.

A) How do I get the beer out and

B) How do I clean this thing?

I know a tap will twist on, I get how that works. That's all I know.

Do you plug stuff to a tap and clean it that way? Or can that "pressure lock" at the top some how be removed?

Any advice for my new to Sanke questions is appreciated.

I use a small strong screwdriver and hammer for the first time, follow the pictorial on the link above and you'll be fine. To get it re-seated work that snap ring in and then use a pair of pliers to squeeze it in the rest of the way.
