You can run it on the imac under a few conditions. If you have an intel imac and run a PC environment then yeah, you could run beersmith there, but it wouldn't be the most convenient.

I use Beer Alchemy- it's a great program, and very intuitive to use.

BeerSmith works in OS X through the use of Boot Camp, Parallels Desktop, VMWare Fusion, or Crossover.
iMac is your computer model. It'd be more accurate to say Apple-compatible. Minor difference. Sorry to be picky - I work with the things, so it's kind of a pet peeve.
