After racking to secondary of my honey porter, I kept the bottom yeast in my beer bottle and place it in my fridge (35F), sealed close with cap. I thought I could do another batch the following weekend reusing the yeast. Well, it's been two months already. Can I still use it now? The liquid yeast we bought at LHBS could be couple months old, right?

You can still use it. Just smell it. If it smells OK then use it.:D

You may want to decant the old beer off of it and make a new starter afterwards to make sure it's still alive. Chances are it is, but I really want you to make a starter...(hint, hint).:D

OK, if it smell good, make a starter and if the starter bubbling, good to go with the new batch. Got it.

Thanks.
