Hi everyone,
I decided on a whim to do a search and see if there were any forums on home brewing and here I am. I figured there would have to be. Just brewed my first batch of IPA with my girlfriend today. It was a bit stressful, but I think we got it done. By the end, I was so fried, I couldn't even figure it out how to use the hydrometer. Then the light bulb came on and I remembered what it was supposed to measure. Ahhh! I really hope it turns out somewhat drinkable.
I've always wanted to brew my own beer, ever since my dad brewed his first stout in our basement when I was 10. 20 something years later, I've done it. Anyways, I'm interested to see what folks have to say here and maybe garner some knowledge when I can.
