Fathers day day arrived with a 2 keg system from keg connections. A couple questions

1 When sanatizing should you pressurize the keg and run the sanatizer thru the lines?

2 What is the best way to purge the keg after you fill it?
Thanks

1. Yes

2. After you fill your keg with beer and replaced the lid (lubing all the rubber gaskets with keg lube of course), hook up your CO2 to the 'in' connector. Turn on the gas (about 30 psi). When you can't hear any more gas entering the keg....pull the release valve on top of the lid. Repeat at least 3 times checking for leaks each time. Voila!! You've sealed and purged your keg. Now your brew has a nice layer of CO2 on top.

I do the same thing.

Fill keg with Starsan solution, seal it with some c02, shake the crap out of it, run some of it through the lines into a bucket, dump it, rack the beer into it, put 13psi on the keg, pull the relief valve 2 or 3 times, and start drinking in a week or two. :)
