Here's my "barebones" recipe so far. I'm a Partial Mash brewer - this is a 2.5G batch.
Sadly I just found out that Honey Malt is impossible to get in the UK, which made up 0.5lb of additional malt originally. I'm stuck for any extras, but I would like this to be unique - smooth (as in not sharp,) light and sweet. So here's what I need figuring, or need to figure, out;
- Is 1lb of Honey too much and should I look for other options to add a sweet flavour?
- What other malts or adjuncts would suit this type of beer?
- How do I prime using Honey/Golden Syrup? I'd imagine it needs mixing with water a little, but how do I get the right quantity? I'd also like to steep something in for flavour or "nose" at this point, like you do with ginger etc - what would work?
