I was about to brew my first batch earlier this week and took everything out. I had to stop and I forgot to put the yeast back in the fridge. It swelled even though I didn't smack it. The next day when I saw it sitting out I put it in the fridge. Is it still ok to use? I can always use the dry yeast but I hear the liquid stuff is much better.
 
I assume your mean Wyeast 1056. If so, it's the same as WLP001 and more importantly Sa-05, which is a cheap dry yeast. Don't read "cheap" as bad but as inexpensive. They are all the same strain.

If your Wyeast doesn't go off just pitch some dry (re-hydrated) Sa-05 and RDWHAHB.
