Keggle bulkhead...which is best?

I seen a Keggle for sale at a LHBS, and the bulkhead was welded so the spighot pipe was under the false bottom (going in on a straight horizontal), rather than a few inches above the false bottom, and then having a 90deg. elbow going through the center of it to siphon below it.

In your thoughts, what would be the best way to weld the bulkhead up to the sanke for ease of operation, and good production?

I think you'll get a little less dead space with a 90 degree angle because the bottom of the keg is concave (or convex depending on how you look at it).
