Why not brass ball valves?

I see most people prefer to use the stainless ball valves and fittings, is there any big advantage over brass?

brass contains trace amounts of lead.....once it is oxidized it is safe

Monkey's, Racoons, Ravens, Blue Jays, Humans... we love the shiny. It looks good.
