How long does it take yeast start wort to boil over?

Less time then you think, trust me

I was making my yeast starter today, just got the wort to a boil, turned down the flame when my cat wanted some attention, bent over to pet her and that is exactly when the wort boiled over.

Small mess... FWIW, cleaning it up right away is much easier, not baked on yet and it keeps SWMBO much happier

Two drops of infant gas relief drops (simethicone) and those problems become a thing of the past. Basically the same thing as fermcap S but half the cost and available everywhere.
