mini fridge compressor question

i just located a alis-chalmers minifridge. it runs quiet, cools but the compressor gets very warm to hot.

is this thing a hazard or do all older fridges get this hot at the compressor?
 
It sounds normal for cool down operation, when fridge gets cold inside the compressor will cool down as compressor load drops. Condensor coils are undersized for cool down by design so compressor has to work harder until inside temps reach operating temp.
