Subdued malt profile with massive pine on the nose. This beer finishes a bit drier than the FG indicates. Bitterness is spot-on.

Brewed this recipe this weekend and had a hard time getting to 1.060 (mine came in at 1.050). I think my mash tun setup is the problem.

Either way, I am looking forward to this one.

"Medium-bodied malt profile with massive pine aroma and flavor." Don't forget the cat piss!

I did a Simcoe SMaSH earlier this summer and it was grand. I didn't dry hop as aggressively as you did. Does it make that much difference, as it is expensive.

Will be dry hopping this bad boy this weekend.

Dumb question: since this is double dry hopped, is this an iipa?

double dry hopping doesnt make anything an iipa or even an ipa. The style guidelines are based on OG and IBUs to determine the dividing line but even then its pretty blurry

Thank you. I really enjoyed your story on the front page.

Sooooo... mine did not come out. No hop bitterness or aroma
Just stale bread and peaches. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

Hoping for a better outcome for a modded taking off when you landing recipe I am bottling tomorrow.

Might just brew this based on the name alone..ha. Love me some simcoe though..
