I've done a bit of searching around for information about swamp coolers, and have found most of what i'm looking for.
A couple threads show that people have experienced between a 3-7 degree drop from just using a wet shirt/towel, with no fan or ice. my question is will having the fan blowing drop the temps further, by speeding up the evaporation process at all? I guess to sum up, does having a fan blowing on the swamp cooler with no ice making any difference?
And also just to clarify, with the bottom of the shirt/towel being submerged, there's no need to re-wet said item correct?
I'd really like to have something i can "set and forget" and not have to ask SWMBO to maintain.
Thanks in advance for any insight,
RonJon
