Sorry,

I can't be of more help

My first question would be WHY?
Isn't harp dead, watery, fizzy stuff?
I think the best thing about it is probably the marketing.

If so I'd say a bit of malt, a few hops, lots of sugar.
Ferment one week.
Boil the crap out of it to kill it. Maybe had a few chemical for foaming and some type of preservative maybe.

Cool to nearly freezing
Put in a soda stream and serve.

Hey,

If it's what you like then brew it.
Some people see a Bud as exotic and Chic over here.
But I guess a lot of the mass market like it or have been brainwashed by the Marketing. I would never put people down for liking it. (But I know better)

Just my views. If I given the choice, I'd take a coffee or chilled water.

In fact I can help.

There are cheap extract lager kits available.

1 tin Malt, 2 bags sugar,

Boil one gallon water, add malt and sugar, add to fermenter, add 4 gallon tap water, shake, add yeast, wait 5-10 days,
Prime, Bottle, wait 2 weeks. Super chill and serve.

Uk prices £4.99 for extract and yeast
£1.50 for 2 bags of sugar.

16p a pint.

About the same price my AG works out.

if you like harp and wanna reproduce it at home you'll want to aim for a light lager style. i'd read up on brewing lager beer, and focus on keeping it cold as long as possible.

there are kits out ther for light lager, or you could piece something together.

mostly pilsner malt or the corresponding extract, maybe some dextrine malt to get some body. then a kettle addition of noble german hops, or you could use kent goldings to get a more paddy feel... i'd use a bohemian lager yeast.
