Hello there.

Long time lurker 1st time poster here on the forums. I would appreciate any advice before I start my first brew.

I am going to be using a Coopers IPA kit which is a no-boil type kit. It says to add sugar, the contents of the kit, and yeast into the fermenter and that's it ! I was wondering if there are any tips or suggestions you could give me to maximize the quality of the final product. I was hoping to do a more "from scratch" type brew like what is suggested in John Palmer's book but there seems to be a shortage of Hops in my area.

In a semirelated question do you have any suggestions for mail order brewing supplies for those of us in Canada?

Thanks in advance for any tips.

MC
