I found what I think is a deal. Thoughts?

I found a guy who has 2 used Pin Lock kegs for sale. Apparently everything is in working order with these kegs, but the seals may need to be replaced. He's asking 40.00 each.

This is a good deal, right? I don't know because I never see kegs come up on craigslist.

It'd be a decent deal for ball locks, but not for pins. Ritebrew has them for $31 and keg connection has them for $35 with new o-rings and $8 flat rate shipping. I'd offer him $40 for the pair. Seals are cheap ($4-$5 per set), easy to replace, and your LHBS should carry them.

Cheapest shipping from ritebrew for one of those kegs is almost $19. Damn.

But kegconnection has them for exactly the same price if you count the cost of new o-rings, and flat rate shipping. You could buy fifty kegs and pay $8.

I did notice that. Chances are I'll just go through kegconnection to get them.
