I've got a NB St. Paul Porter kit sitting around that I'm gonna brew, but I've got the hankering to add something funky to it. I'm thinking about maybe throwing some Brett C into the secondary....possibly with some cherries? Any thoughts on a Porter with Brett? ANy one done it? Here is what the recipe looks like:

-- 8.5-lbs. 2-Row
-- 1-lbs-English-Medium-Crystal
-- 0.5-lb-English-Chocolate-Malt

-- 1.5-oz.-Cluster-(60-min)
-- 1-oz-Cascade-(1-min)

Really not that funky an idea. A little bit of tang can be desirable for a stout/porter (think Guinness). Brett used to be used for this fairly often but now a days it's usually achieved with acid malt.
