Hi Guys

What I have planned to brew a 3.3 gal batch and your comments on the recipe is most weclome.

Yeast - Safale US 56

Ingredients

Mutons Wheat Malt - 3.5Lbs
Crystal 20L - 0.5 Lbs
Carapils - 0.5 Lbs

Hops

Cascade pellet - 0.50 oz 30 min

Boil volume - 2 gallons

Expected OG 1.042 and FG 1.011

IBU 15

if you're using the cascade as bittering hops, i'd put it in for at least 45 minutes. With that boil size at 30 min my calculations only give you 11IBUs, and it will probably have no hop flavor at all. If you want some light bittering and a little flavor, maybe do .25oz for 45 and .25 oz for 15. With that OG and boil size, that gives you about 14IBU's, and will retain some light hop flavor. I'm sure you're going for a low level of bitterness, but that might round out the beer a bit.
totally up to you; as is this recipe looks like a good simple american wheat, one of my favorite styles of beer!

did you brew this and how is it going I am looking for a wheat for the other in the house
