Hiya brew-fiends... I came across your fine forum while searching for info about how to brew Trappist Ales. My sweetie gave me a 5 gal Noble Trappist Ale kit and now I have to figure out how to turn a dream into reality. I'm optimistic for some level of success, with a little help from you folks.
I am a biologist and studied barley grain germination for my thesis work, so I've thought a bit about the science if not the art of beer brewing. I have brewed a tasty sake and my sweetie regularly makes wine. I'm pretty stoked to have my first attempt at brewing beer and I plan to hit the search function here pretty hard to get all of the info I need. I'll let you know how things go, wish me luck!
