A bit confused... I need a new spigot for my bottling bucket, and also a bottling wand.

Size does matter (heh) here, as I want my spigot, tubing I.D. and wand size to fit together.

Which is the standard size, asks the n00b?

Oh... and are there better wands than others?

Well, I think they are all the same, size-wise. I use the spring loaded bottling wand and I like it. I've never used any others though, so I don't have anything to compare it to.

5/16" ID tubing is the standard, as it is a good tight fit on most things which are 3/8" OD. Fits my bucket spigots, racking canes, bottling wand, and even fits into airlock grommets/stopper holes as a small ID blowoff tube.
