A little help with kegerator.

Im in the process of starting to build me kegerator. i have a whirlpool 4.4 that ive measured and will allow me 2 kegs, and i am going to build the tower myself out of pvc and pieces from kegworks. but the main question i am wondering, am i going to need a 90 degree elbow off the faucet shank inside the tower? im using 3" tube and these faucets and shanks: Faucet and 4" Shank Kit with Black handle - Faucets & Shanks

Im thinking i wont be able to fit it inside the tower... any help would be great on what any of you out there have done to fix this issue.

These are the type shanks you need Elbow Nipple Shanks

now does that piece have to have the shank between it and the faucet?

No. That part takes the place of the shank for mounting in towers.
