I posted a few days ago about my poor efficiency while making a wheat wine. I only got 55%. Normally I'm in the 72-74% range. I'm pretty sure the low efficiency is from the wheat malt being poorly crushed because of its smaller size than the barley malt.

If this is true, does this mean that my efficiency is actually the weighted average of my regular efficiency with the barley and a much lower efficiency with the wheat? And if so, does this mean there is actually less wheat in the beer than the recipe would indicate? Just wondering now if my wheat wine isn't so much a wheat wine anymore.
