I have Mangrove Jacks Czech Pilsener extract and 2 lbs of brown sugar brewing in a 7 gallon primary now for only 5 days...

The directions say to actually bottle after 5-7 days?? at temps between 64 and 86??

Does this seem a little soon? Are max temps a little high for a pilsener?

Should i trust the label? Any recommendations?

Thanks, i got a lot of good advice on my first extract try. :rockin:

Have you trusted or taken any other advice from "Mangrove Jack" in the past...?

Nope... First time me and "Jack" have met!
Its a malt extract from Australia. 1.7 kg

Just seems like a short ferment to bottle. too good to be true?

Do you have a hydrometer...??

If you answered yes...did you take an OG reading...?

If you answered yes.....you should take an FG reading per Mangrove Jacks timetable and determine if your beer has completed fermenting.

If you answered no to any of the questions above....you need said hydrometer and should take a reading of your beer when Mangrove Jack says you should be ready to bottle and make sure his timeline theory is relevant to your actual fermentation.

he says, 1.008 stable for 2 days... I will follow Jack into the outback.

Thats pretty quick beer... can drink 2 weeks after bottling or age.... Thanks.
