Will using Knox gelatin before bottling affect bottle conditioning? I am wondering if it slow down the natural carbonation process.
Thanks,
carl

I have read that Gelatin is not(very?) effective at binding to yeast (BYO article on Turbid Mashing). So, I would expect it to be okay.

Hasn't hurt my bottle priming time at all. They all come out at three-five weeks ready to go.
I've been pouring the prepped gelatin into the bottling bucket at the same time as I add the priming sugar and rack in the beer. I give it one good stir and come back in an hour. Quite a bit of trub falls out in the bucket after an hour and the bottles have a nice tight packed yeast layer.
