Yikes,
Ok, so I have been a bit busy to brew for...well a few months longer than I care to admit. Back in March I dumped a bunch of my gear into a bottling bucket of Star San and promptly forgot about it.
To my delight, when I went to go re-clean everything a few days ago I found a nasty white film on everything. I dumped the bucket, filled it with clean water and added Star San and gave everything a good wipe down. After dropping and breaking my hydrometer on the way to the counter, I dried everything off and within a few minutes, the lovely white film had returned.
The wifey ran the offending items through the dishwasher yesterday and surprise, the white crap is still there.
I'm going to run the stuff through again on my own tonight but if that doesn't work, any suggestions beyond "Time to go buy some new equipment"?
Jim
