I went to the City Steam Brewery in Hartford, CT last night and had their Winter Wheat Ale. They state it is a Belgian style beer. It was quite nice. Here is a description from their website:

WINTER WHEAT
A very complex DOPPLEDUNKELDOUBLEWEIZEN….which is sort of a cross between a dark German wheat and a Belgian Double, with a little oak aged Barley wine thrown in for good measure! 21P., served in a brandy glass.
Alcohol content: 8.5%

I would like to try to make something like this in the spring. Don't have any Barleywine to mix in but would love to come close. This is what I have come up with. Any thoughts?

I have nothing useful to add - sorry - but that sounds like one hell of an interesting beer. Keep us posted on how it goes.
