I don't see why it wouldn't hold up. It's food safe and can withstand the temperature. It might feel a little "squishy" at that temp though.
 
I'm not trying to bash your idea in any way, but I use a graduated pitcher that I bought at walmart for $1.

Those nalgene buckets look a bit more pricey.

Lol wow yeah they do, I didn't even notice that. Wierdboy probably has the best idea. Cheap plastic pitcher. Bigger the better I guess. They might have them in 4 qt.
