Warm New Year greetings from a TOTAL NOOB in northern Illinois near Rockford. I have always wanted to brew my own beer, and my brand new equipment arrived last week. After reading, studying and watching a DVD, I ordered a couple more odds and ends [like a "thief" to pull in liquid to use the hydrometer]. I'm waiting for those items to arrive before I dive into my very first brew!
