Ingredients
Amt Name Type # %/IBU
5 lbs Golden Promise (2.0 SRM) Grain 1 71.4 %
12.0 oz Simpsons Golden Naked Oats (10.0 SRM) Grain 2 10.7 %
8.0 oz English Dark Crystal (80.0 SRM) Grain 3 7.1 %
8.0 oz English Extra Dark Crystal (160.0 SRM) Grain 4 7.1 %
4.0 oz Chocolate Malt (450.0 SRM) Grain 5 3.6 %
1.00 oz First Gold [3.30 %] - Boil 60.0 min Hop 6 13.4 IBUs
1.0 pkg British Ale II (Wyeast Labs #1335) [124.21 ml] Yeast 7 -

So a few thoughts:
1. I've never used Golden Promise or Simpsons Naked Oats. GP seemed reasonable as a basemalt while the Naked Oats sound like a good candidate for adding flavor and body to a really low ABV beer.
2. The Dark and Extra Dark Crystal are combined to help give some complexity and to keep the color low.
3. I have some First Gold hops laying around, might need to add something to increase the IBUs.
4. British Ale II is kinda boring but right now is my "house strain" for British styled brews.

Any thoughts/comments/critiques? Anyone used the Golden Naked Oats before? They just tasted so damn good last time I was in the store I want to try them but don't know about the amount.
