Woke up at 4 in the morning to a huge puddle of yeast coming out of the airlock. The carboy was surrounded by nice sticky honey foam. Forgot to take pics until after I had attached a blowoff tube. I had no idea Lavlin 71b was so active. This thing is going NUTS!!

Wow! Thats unbelievable! I haven't made a cyser before, but have made mead and Apfelwein and never had any blowoff at all. Good news is you're definitely making some alcohol!

what kind of apples/cider/juice did you use? I've never seen a cyser krausen like that...

I am using 1 gallon of organic cider from HEB and 3 1/2 gallons of generic apple juice, 5 pounds of sams club honey and 1 pound of corn sugar plus some cinnamon

ack, why'd you add corn sugar to this? mead should not have added corn sugar IMO. it breaks from the style.
I'd almost call this a cider with a honey booster.
