I came across a craigslist ad that shows an old Moosehead keg. Not sure if it is aluminum or stainless or plastic? Any input on this?
Looking for a cheap keggle and wanted to see if this would work.

Here is the image.

By the way... POST 200 !!!!!

I think that bottom skirt is plastic. You can't put the ones with plastic/rubber skirts on a propane burner. Some people take that part off, but then the keg looks like a mutilated mess.

I would pass on that one if I were you.

I think i see a weld seam in the middle, i'd bet it's stainless with a plastic top/bottom. You can't heat it, and if you remove the top/bottom it won't be able to stand upright. But if you're looking for unfired MLT it may work. Don't pay too much for it though, it's going to be more effort than an all stainless sanke.

I have a similar keg, but only with the top plastic part.

I removed it, (which removes the handles)

and am using it as a MLT. (to the left in this pic)
