So I just did a Dead guy clone using my newly build direct fire recirculation system and fly sparging.

I was getting about 70% efficency before without recirculating.

So last night when I used my direct fired RIMS set up I got 85% efficency. Which is great but I way overshot my gravity because of that.

Is it typical to get a higher efficency when recirculating?

What will this 10 point overshoot do to my beer?

8.75 lb Pale Malt
4.0 lb Munich malt
1.25 lb caramel crystal 10L
1.6 z pearle 60 min
1.0 oz saaz 0 min
Pacman yeast (used starter)
Mash 152 degrees for 60 min
Boil 90 min

Target OG is 1.065
Target FG is 1.015

My preboil gravity was 1.062
Preboil bolume was 7.0 GAL

OG was 1.082
Batch size was 5.0 GAL

So next time if I find i get 85% efficency do I just reduce the grain bill?

Yes reduce the grain bill. There are tons of software that will help you calculate the bill based on your effiicency.
