have a cream stout in secondary and am thinking of adding cocoa powder. good idea, or mistake. would like to hear from those with experience.

Generally speaking I understand that it's better to add powdered cocoa during the end of the boil. You might consider some liquid chocolate extract available from the LHBS, that's what the BYO recommends on the Young's Double Chocolate clone.
