Heading over to the big easy for a week. Any one know of any brewpubs around the north shore? Not even sure if I will be able to get away. Ill be stuck in the 9th ward all day every day working at the water plant.

http://abita.com/ <---north shore, they have a brew pub plus the brewery does tours (and free beer!)
http://www.draftfreak.com/ <--- three locations in the area, used to do keep the pint glass on Wednesday (mid town location is great)
Gordon Biersch downtown, better places for food in the area but if you are in the area and looking for a beer...
If you are in the city and looking for a nice, quiet, local bar I would recommend The Avenue Pub...spent some time there back in the day (a couple years ago)

Cool thanks a ton man. Just pulled into our hotel in Convington. Bout ready to head down to Copelands for a bite to eat.
I will be sure to hit a couple of those places if we get time.
Thanks again

If you are in Covington, you should really go to the Abita Brewery or brew pub. It is literally walking distance (so to speak) from Covington. Have fun:mug:

I saw the Abita springs exit just before covington. Definitly will have to talk the boss and crew into having dinner down there one night this week!
