sorry if this has been asked before; did a search and couldn't really find what i was looking for.

so just got done making my first ag belgian golden strong and will be looking at bottling soon. beersmith has got the style at 2.3-2.9 volumes, yet i believe that i've seen some posts indicating that it should be carbed at a higher level. so...

a) has beersmith got it right or should i aim for higher?
b) if i do go higher, am i looking at making myself a bunch of bottle bombs? what would be a reasonable upper limit?

thanks in advance.

Carb at the higher end and bottle it in champagne bottles. You will just need some new cheap caps and a $6 bell for your capper. Much easier, stress free and worthy of your better beers.

I use Sam smith bottles and have carbed to 3.2 without worries. They're much thicker than regular bottles and much cheaper than traditional Belgian corked or capped bottles.
