Cooling fan question

Hey, if I bought a typical computer cooling fan and attached it to say... a battery, would it run? I need to know, anyone tried this?

Yep, as long as you give it 5-11 volts of DC.

Sweet, so a 9 volt with aligator clips would do it.... hrmmmm, fascinating!

There's 5 volt fans, 12 volt fans and 120 volt A/C fans. If you stick with the 12 volts fans it would work.

or you could pick up a ac/dc converter for $2-3 and plug it into the wall too. Thats what I did for my fermentation chamber
