I'm only about 1/2 way through the now 101 page, 1009 replies Graff thread. Unfortunately, it will take me another few days to finish reading, but I need to pitch tonight. So I'll just cop out 
()and shoot a question now:
I had a Wyeast 1214 Bel Abbey prop handy, and 1.5 hr drive round trip to pick up the US-05. I made a 1600ml starter with the 1214. Hoping this will be Ok, in fact maybe great!
Any input?
-----It took over 4 days for the 1214 to really take off. took a gravity reading, and tasted the sample--great! (so far )
