I find myself with about 5 lbs if Lactose powder that I have acquired through a few ebay purchases with other equipment.

What would be a good use for this stuff? Maybe 1/2 pound per 5 gallon batch of Apfelwein to make it sweeter?
 
+1 on milkstouts... and you could also use it in apfelweins if you don't want them too dry...I used a half pound in my last batch...and it tastes just right to me...tart but not teeth shattering dry.

I used a pound in my last milkstout batch...I think next time I'll do it with a half pound instead. I found it initially too sweet, but now that they've been in the bottles nearly 3 months they've mellowed out some, but I'm curious as to what it would be like with half a pound.
