Bottling Home Brew Cider Qustion

Hi Guys,

Im loving this homebrewing!! On to my 5th batch had a great weekend on my brew that had been in the bottle for 12 weeks ... loved it. Im trying a cider that is ready to bottl. I like the idea if putting the cider into a clear glass bottle .. is this ok as opposed to a brown bottle?

yup. Cider has no hops. Hops are the biggest thing that UV light messes with. I've bottled three batches of aphelwien (german hard cider) in green and clear bottles with no ill effects. It's actually a great way to get rid of any green/clear bottles you've got lying around. What'd you do for a recipe?

Hey nypd, thanks heaps I appreciate it. As a beginer i just used the kit(new zealand blackrock Cider) with a little apple schnaps. Once i get a little more experienced ill try some variation.. any suggestions for a cider

yeah, Edwort's Aphelwien. I've made three batches and it comes out awesome every time. Also super cheap to put together <$25 for all materials assuming you already have a carboy or bucket to ferment in.
