So I like brewing mostly "bigger" beers. Tripels, belgian ales, saisons, hoppy IPAs, and porters are my thing.

I am thinking about ordering a big bulk DME for my next 3-4 beers. Should I just get Extra Light DME or downsize to orders of extra light, light, and wheat DME?

Light and Extra Light have little difference, in my experience. If you can get one in a 50 lb bag but not the other, get the bulk one. You will save a lot of money that way. I am pretty sure what I buy is extra light in 50 lb bags but I don't know off hand.

I buy Briess Pilsen Light in 50lb bags and use that in place of Light or Extra Light DME in recipes. There is a slight difference though, Briess Pilsen Light is made with Pilsner and Carapils, Briess Golden Light is made with 2-row and Carapils.
