I am putting together a sweet stout recipe and looking for input. I have previously made the sweet stout kit from morebeer, which was good. I want to expand on the recipe and add a little more complexity and roastiness.

Morebeer recipe:
6# ultralight LME
1# lactose

1# black patent
12oz crystal 75

2oz cascade at 60 (6.2%aa)

Safale 04

My version:
8# ultralight LME
1# lactose

1# black patent
1# crystal 75
0.5# chocolate
0.5# victory
0.5# crystal 120

2oz cascade at 60 (7.7% aa)

Safale 04

Thoughts?

I agree. Drop the victory. Up the chocolate. I don't think you need the crystal 75 and 120. I use just crystal 80 in mine. I also think a liquid English yeast with a healthy starter is a good idea. That seems like a lot of IBUs for my taste, but that's your choice.
