Hello all, we just bought a case of DFH 60 Min for the bottles and to try an IPA. On a scale how does this beer rate as far as hoppy or not? Just trying to get a feel for how hoppy is hoppy. If I brew an IPA SWMBO wants to know where it would stack up. This may be a tad too hoppy for her taste for now.

Thanks

I believe I have read somewhere that it is 60 IBU, pretty hoppy stuff. I believe Yopper has a good clone, check her recipes.

60 minute is hoppy, but definitely lower than what you would get in a west coast IPA. It has a lot more malt balance.

Fantastic beer. I prefer the 90 but I would consider the 60 to be a hoppy IPA. IMO I found the 120 to be very hard to drink. Definitely agree with wonderbread23 about the contrast between West Coast IPAs and DFH, but they do the malt balance very well.
